Do I need a suspension system in addition to my TTTM hammock?

Yes. Our hammocks are shipped without a suspension system, so you can choose the setup that fits your use best—whether you’re outdoors, at home, or going technically ultralight.

Why isn’t a suspension system included?

We intentionally ship hammocks without suspension, because not every setup is the same:
– different anchor points (trees, beams, hooks, stands)
– different needs (quick, flexible, ultralight, permanently mounted)

What do we recommend for outdoor use?

For outdoor use, we recommend our tree-friendly straps:
– quick to set up
– flexible for different distances
– gentle on the bark (wider contact surface)

MOON Straps (bestseller / all-rounder)
– ideal for camping, travel & everyday use
– perfect if you want one simple setup that works in most situations
– great if you set up and take down your hammock often

LIGHTEST Straps (minimal & ultralight)
– ideal if you want to reduce weight & pack size (trekking, fastpacking, minimalist setups)
– compact for when every gram counts

When do I need an EXTENDER?

An EXTENDER is handy when you need extra length or when a tree is especially thick. For example:
– when the trees are farther apart
– when a tree is so thick that your straps don’t go all the way around
– when you need a bit more reach on beams, posts, or a stand

Upgrade tip (if you already have cord/rope at home)
If you already use cord/rope or another suspension system, you can optimize your setup with the EXTENDER—and easily upgrade a rope setup to a more tree-friendly suspension. The EXTENDER creates a wider contact surface on the tree and helps distribute the load more evenly.
